What is your opinion on trading re-painted minis? Do you do so? If so, what criteria do you consider? For example, I'm thinking maybe paint job quality, recognizability of the creature, whether it is still legal in official play etc. I enjoy painting D&D minis and haven't had too much trouble trading them in person, but am wondering about trading online. I'm guessing that maybe a few good photos of what the re-paint looks like might help someone decide.

Trading re-painted minis

I have a few nice repaints - think VWC and some of the local tourneys. Would I trade for them? If they were as good as Zanaroth's repaints - oh yeah (if I had something he'd want and I could afford to trade with). otherwise I think I'd have to consider carefully.
In the right circumstances I like the idea of trading repaints, and have actually talked about it with a couple of people. Unless you know the person you're trading with (or his/her work), a couple of photos would certainly make things easier.
I've just painted my ass off, so I wouldn't initiate right now, myself, though...
Off the actual topic: Once I added a simple repaint to a trade I made just to thank the person for great trade and communication. Also have been on the receiving end. It's a nice touch atop the package.
