I'm curious. I've read something about these, but not much yet.
Do you think they'll be compatible with DDM? Something like DDM 3.0 maybe?

The rules aren't directly compatible.

The map tiles may be. The pieces have equivalents, except if they have new pieces, which will need stats. this is one reason that we haven't released the stats for the exisiting games - want to see what comes out in these sets.

The rules don't look half bad. I wish there could be a variant that used dice.

Big differences are that it is a building game, not an attrition game. I've written campaign card rules for building games in the past. Moving all pieces at once is tricky, too. There are rules that used dice, somewhere in the bowels of Kevin's computer, but they weren't actually judged to be necessary to play a good game by the intial developers at Wizards.

Take it for what it is - a cool new game that supplies you witha themed mini fix. Smile
