Status of the DDM Guild & GenCon 2012

Tried, back a few months you posted:

"I think we'll certainly have a discussion at Neoncon to determine what the players would like. I can't promise that NeonCon won't be our last guild run tourney, because I don't know what our status is.

As of now, WoTC has provided the guild with no new information, and so we as well are sort of left hanging. I do know that they said they'd provide support for NeonCon.

I suppose that they may plan for the new game to supplant the old as the new competitive schtick. There will be grognard issues with that, I suppose.

They may also intend for the game to be lighter, like conquest of nerath - competitive but not highly organized. For that scenario, we'd not really need the guild in the same way - we'd become more of a simple fan/booster club.

I suppose there is a third option, that the DDM guild remains running a d20 variant, but Kevin suggested to me that such an option might be lower on WoTC's list.

I think I'm committed to organized play in some way - though probably d20 based - but this will be discussed more in Las Vegas."

Any new news on the status of the DDM Guild?

Will we have DDM at GenCon 2012 this year?

Some of us need to start making plans for August and are wondering if there will be miniatures to play at GenCon this year.

Any hints or news for us?
