Players should use the DDMGuild (ddmguild.com) website to sign up. There will be a separate sign up for all eight weeks so you may sign up for any or all weeks. Please provide your geographic location including GMT offset when you sign-up. If you have trouble logging on to or using this the site, email me (demetrious@mac.com) or PM me and we'll accommodate you.
Deadline: Players must sign-up by 12 AM on the Monday of each week. Pairings will be added to the website within 24 hours.
Notes: You may sign up for one or all weeks. Games must be completed and reported two weeks from their respective start date.
Scenarios: An FAQ will be posted if necessary for each week.
1. Limited 300 point - One box of Lords of Madness, two boxes of Feymire, and one box of Harbinger.
2. Standard 200 point - No rares allowed.
3-5. Escalating engagement - 50 pt team, 100 pt team and then a 200 pt team (respectively). Every week you add the previous (smaller) warband to the next.
6. 300 Point Cap and Trade (a riff on Tundrin's point cap request) - Create your warband using standard rules, then on reveal, you may elect to trade one figure from your warband to your opponents. Then, your opponent can do the same. (determined by an additional initiative after set-up) You may not trade a figure that will put you over the 300 point limit, however, your opponents warband may be increased above the limit as a result.
7. 200pt Keyword grab-bag - Both players are given two keywords at random. Both make a 200pts warbands using one of their keywords only but no faction limitations
8. 150 Point Tribal Warfare (all orc, all the time) Choose one of the (6) Orc champions for your warband (one champion only for each warband) and build a warband using standard rules. Orcs of any faction are legal, however, non-orc and non-beast figures cost (an are worth) double. I.E. Goblin Runner cost's 8, but a timber wolf costs 5 still.

So trade is after reveal or after setup?
Champion test is made for "trade-initiative?
And winner can trade first or elect to force the opponent make first trade?
Well I'm in too, of course.
The trading makes me wonder too. Going last seems to have all the benefits.
can the opponent just trade the piece back you gave him?
maybe tipping my hand, but what about finding some overcosted or generally yucky piece and hoisting it off on your opponent?

That's just one of the sneaky plays available with trade - seems like there's a whole new "pregame" far beyond mere wretched meta.
Of course winning initiative here, then going last (if I understood the ini concept correctly) allows reversing the previous trade, so going last You never need to be worse off than without trades - and You might be significantly better off

I think this is a good idea. It takes away some of the all too obvious "last to trade" advantage. - And IMHO a good policy in humorous DDM spirit as well

Just an FYI, I will be travelling for work Sept 28 - Oct 7th and not be able to play any games at that time.

I'd like to have started today, we still can I guess... can we drum up a couple more folks? Also, I'd hoped to have some sort of sign-up thing on this site, but I'm not sure it will work like I thought it might, I've got a question into thekk. If you all prefer, I'll get pairing up tomorrow here, or, we can wait for a couple more.

I want in too;) Was waiting for some kind of sign up, but since i can not seem to find any I just mention it here...
So, perhaps we have more people waiting for a proper sign-up thread. Well, maybe do it this way. Create a sign-up thread for Week 1 (unless you can get something from Thekk in a hurry), do the regular "sign-ups close midnight Monday", and start with pairings & matches next week?

I just got a word from Dem. Real life is keeping him totally tied up, no time for virtual life. I will be taking over the league for this fall. Expect pairings and weekly sign up threads later today and first week boosters tomorrow (or even today if someone kindly reminds me of how the Feymire boosters were setup so I can build boosters with dice.)
