Revenge is sweet.
I havent played too many matches with new rules, but autodamage is always good. Hide/invis nerfs those sight are atacks. I went with some golden oldies:
Skullcleave warrior x 2
Wild Mage - always a favorite of mine
Half Orc fighter - give those skulls extra chances for extra attacks
Catfolk x 2 - reasonable ranged and can sep back
Skeletal Legionaire - stay near MAge for extra AC
Warforged Scout - put him in shared VA, tough to dig him out.
Kezghan is always a formidable opponent - leave i to him to ALSO have auto damage and to have a way to deal with invis:
Death Knight x2 (can add 20 damage to ally attack twice, or do auto 10) - and has range 10 area attack, no los needed.

Skeletal legionaire x 3
I took right side, mage and skellie botom, all others top
He put a DK top and bottom, spread out skellies.
Both SK and DK have 80hp, I needed both crits on a DK, or he needed 2 champed DK hits to kill a SK.
I needed to avoid the area attacks if possible, get a points lead and make his slow undead come after me. Try to get both crits on the same DK.
