Foul Spawn Seer is the active creature and therefore MUST have LoS to at least one of the squares that a teleport will end in.
Also, does the Seer need to see the creature he is teleporting? That was what was discussed in the RUles Question post.
Thanks.

For reference to everyone, are we using the latest / current DDM Game Battle Rules 2011 (dated May 19, 2011).

Yes, he has to have LoS to the creature that is being teleported.
Yes, we gonna use the latest rules we have.
For the "Seer", Tried explains it in the "Seer" post (even if I prefer the way we play it in Mons
)
For the maps, I would like to add "Pit of Doom" to official ones.
We played it during last tournaments in Belgium and it's a very funny playable map ...

Agreed. I played it at last years GenCon. A very fun map, and it is technically legal as it is in the DDM Map Gazetteer.
Too bad we cannot get the other new maps released at GenCon 2011 last year made legal:
1) Beholders Lair (1/2 map)(that matches up with the Haunted Quary to make a large map, title of the new large map TBD)
2) Dwarven Hall (1/2 map), that combine to make a new large map, the Twined Dwarven Halls.

Never seen "beholders Lair", i saw some pictures of "dwarven Hall", it seems pretty cool too ...
... but we don't own it

If someone can scan the new maps, I will see about adding them to the vassal mod.
As long as it doesn't conflict with guild copyright, etc.
ignore...
I don't agree with that one. I mean, I fully agree that it is an illogical rule, but it is in no way unclear. Blindsight/ blind ignores conceal, not really much space for discussion there. And I feel it would be unfair to change that rule here. If somebody plans to bring a warband with creatures that (ab)use this trick it would be unfair if he could immediately give up because the rule was changed here. Not that I can really imagine a competitive warband with a lot of blindsighted creatures with reach, so most likely it won't be an issue, but still
It is different with the foulspawn seer since apparently that one could be interpreted in very different ways, I would never have thought of the current ruling, but in my match against Mr. Tulip I noticed that it is rather strong on forest maps. Still, I can imagine that if someone shows up with it without reading this forum he will be disappointed.
personally I think lack of LoS should trump that - let's see what Tried says... it's definitely bad wording and leaves some pieces able to milk it that suddenly become overpowered as a result
The only semi-competitive pieces with blindsight and reach would work much better on smoke maps I think. Edit: well, maybe the large deep dragon would not mind a forest so much. I guess you have a slight advantage if you lose map to someone who plays a forest map, but that is such a random event that it hardly makes them overpowered in my opinion.
If there is an official rule change I am fine with it, I just do not really agree with simply making a new rule on this forum
Not going to Euros
But do not want to bog down this thread with an interesting debate, so placed some thoughts on blindsight and forest terrain in another thread:

Can we make the 500 Arena hard limit 5 max critters? Having 8+ critters there kinda sours the mood a bit.
I would support that - anyone else want a vote?
Check the rules - Arena warband limit is 5 figures (unless of course someone brings in Snig and his followers).

I'm aware of the rules limit, and since bringing in Snig (and a few others) is exactly what I'm against, I'm trying to lobby for a hard limit of 5 critters.
What about multi activation then?
I see no problem with multi-activation. Critter number is what bothers me. Your experience may vary and I am curious to hear how others feel about this.
Oh, btw, I'm assuming BUT is banned? Please?
I agree, using Snig in in arena stretches my definition of "fun" as well as spirit of arena format.
I'm not telling that it must be banned, but bringing some ultracompetetive band with snig to a "just for fun" tournament is a two-handed facepalm in my books.
So "Sniggers" there... be sure to put some humorous twist on the band if You must bring that bothersome goblin.
EDIT: Not sure about BUT --- there just might not exist a twist humorous enough to justify playing BUT.
That's a "Just for Fun" tournament !
To meet each others the friday night
What about "Just play the Arena rules" ?
Well, technically, the reason I'm suggesting the above is to maximize fun from my perspective.
I'm sure of that
But we can have people who did not read this topic and come with a "legal" Arena warband and it can be difficult to manage ...
Or I add it on the blog as a special rule for this tournament
Your choice guys ...
I know the frustration of suddenly having 9 activations in 500 Arena and realising that you have to explose your warband as a result to the later activations.
I think, although not ideal, we will have to follow the official rules so that no one who doesn't read the minutae of these boards doesn't get caught out.
500 Arena is just for fun though
9 activations ?
Don't forget that "Strenght in numbers" doesn't stack
So it's 8 max with Snig the Axe and I don't own it
(
If you really want to you can get to nine activations with five mini's though;) That's why i wondered about multi activation.
Not that I really care... A just for fun epic arena sounds like the perfect occassion to bring some big bad shiny 300+ pointer
Yes, big Huge and big fight for fun ...
